How to Write a Journal

Journal is a periodical dedicated to a particular subject or a daily record of events or business. If a journal is about one's life and events surrounding it then it can be called a diary. However, journal describes in more details one feeling and view on events unlike the traditional diary that just describe events that occur without adding one's view and feelings
.
Personal Journals can be about one's personal feeling, events in life, philosophy or religion.
Subject based journals are about various field of study like journal on accounting etc.

To write a good journal, your journal must have the following characteristics:
- It should be periodic that is written at intervals lets say 3 hours intervals or daily intervals or monthly intervals depending on the field and scope.
- It should be up to date
- It should be written by experts. for personal journal by either the person or someone very close.
- It should be descriptive.

Steps to Writing a Good Journal

Choose a field: Make sure you choose a field you can write on and feel comfortable writing about.

Keep your journal accessible: Make sure the journal is handy so that you won't miss any details you want to add.

Keep the tone of the journal related to what you are writing on eg if its personal journal it should be personal and informal. if its subject based, ensure you use the right jargons for writing.

Make sure you journal is periodic that is written at a very strict spaced intervals. Eg if is monthly, maintain monthly update, if daily maintain daily update.
